The minute I discovered public relations, I knew immediately it was what I wanted to do.

Since I’ve been working in PR, it’s become a huge point of pride for me to be taken seriously as a professional, but it’s also super important for me that I can be myself. After working in government, moving into agency life was a pretty big change. My education, ability to write, obsession with grammar, and love of all things social led me to the world of marketing, and I’m SO glad it did. It’s given me the opportunity to apply my education and be creative.

One of the things I love about WaterWerks is that I never felt judged because of my aesthetic. Tattoos, piercings, and edgy clothes do not stop me from being good at what I do.

Being different is an advantage.
