Montreal-based ALRE Properties Inc. needed an experienced Newfoundland agency to handle event planning and public relations for its first-ever development in Atlantic Canada.
The client wanted a sophisticated groundbreaking ceremony for a $25M retail centre that would be attended by key stakeholders from private enterprise and government, and garner coverage from all major media outlets.
WaterWerks planned and executed the entire event and managed media relations – developing media kits, writing the release and alerts, and ensuring attending journalists had everything they needed to cover the story.
Through the consistent stream of communication, we secured TV, radio, and print coverage in all major media outlets. The event was also reported by three community papers and several online news sites. More importantly, everyone in attendance had a great day and left excited by ALRE’s vision for the development, a welcome addition to the local aesthetic and economy.
