We worked with econext to name, brand, and create a website for shift, a partnership between them and the city of St. Johns. The program’s goal is to make it easier for homeowners to complete energy efficient renovations.
Making the shift.
The Shift Program recognizes that renovations are stressful, especially when you are not sure whether you should invest in insulation or heat pumps first. Shift’s Home Energy Reno Guide helps homeowners in the city of St. John’s to assess what the priorities are for their homes and how to achieve their energy efficient renovation goals with the help of their vast resources and advisors.

Branding
The brand was designed to be both flexible and scalable as it had to anchor the Shift Program today while allowing it to adapt easily as it grows. We focused on creating an approachable, confident identity that feels warm and slightly light-hearted, taking the stress out of what can be a very daunting process. Supporting characters were developed as an essential extension of the brand, ensuring consistency, recognition, and ease of use. They can be found throughout the website and are also the stars of the explainer video.

The website was designed to be bright, welcoming, and accessible to the general public, ensuring information is easy to find and understand. Clear navigation guides users to the information they need, helping them quickly access resources, understand eligibility, and take next steps with confidence. The result is an intuitive digital experience that supports informed decision-making and encourages participation.
